Don't focus too much on STUMBLING BLOCK.....

Once a teacher came to his class and ordered everyone to prepare for a surprise test. Every student took their pens out and they were given the text facing down, as usual. Once he handed them all out, teacher asked them to turn over the papers.

With utter surprise, students found nothing on the paper except a small dot at the center. First, they thought there was a mistake but amazingly, everyone had the same test with dark black dot.

After observing student’s agitation, teacher explained that they had to write whatever they found on the page. “But there is nothing in it”, asked a student. “What you see is totally up to you”, teacher gave a confusing answer and the students started on the inexplicable task.

After about an hour, teacher ordered to stop writing and collected the tests. After collecting, he started to read them one by one out loud.

All of them, without any exception explained the dot, its color and position.

After all had been read, the classroom was silent and the professor started to explain: “Up to the test criteria, all of you have failed!” said the teacher with some how sad expression. Students started to feel uneasy after hearing this.

“But hopefully, I am not going to grade you on this. I just wanted to give you something to think about”, teacher kept on, “as you can see, everyone explained about the black dot and totally ignored the white part which contains hundreds of small white dots.

We all do the same mistake, every day all out lives. We focus more on our daily problems like health issues, lack of money, complicated relationship with a family member, the disappointment with a friend etc. which is far less than the good things life provided us.

Take your body parts instead. There are a lot of people who just wanted to walk on their feet, to shake hand, to see the beautiful sky, to smell, or even to have a single breath by their own and without any machine or oxygen cylinder to be precise.

But life has provided us all of this without taking any price. What I wanted to tell you is take your eyes away from the black dots and enjoy each one of your blessings, each moment that life gives you and by happy and live a life filled with love.

Then the bell rang and the teacher left, leaving behind quiet number of students amazed by this wonderful life lesson and their tests in front of them.

You might have already heard this story but most of you have forgot the lesson so allow me to remind you the crux of this story:

1.        Don’t focus too much on problems. Problems don’t come to underestimate but to take you to the next level, to take you to your better being.

2.

Don’t be stereotype:  Very often in our social life, we become biased and label the whole group with slogans only because few of them had done bad with us.

Hence, remember that more than 90% of our lives is blessed with beauty, with chances and new possibilities.    Don’t ignore the shortcomings but take it as a chance of betterment and become a higher being.
