Result of Listening others too much........

Once upon a time, there lived a priest in a small village. He was simple minded and innocent and mind his own business of following religious rituals.

At one point, he was awarded with a goat by a wealthy man due to his noble deeds. The priest was excited of having this reward and happily slung the goat on his shoulders and began the journey towards home.

Three lazy thugs saw the priest with a goat and thought the goat to be enough for a meal.

But the problem was, how could they cheat the priest so that they could take the goat away. After much thought, the eldest thug made a plan of fooling the priest. He told his plan to the other two and after their agreement, all three went to separate directions and hid themselves at different spots on the way back home of the priest.

As soon as the priest arrived the first hiding place, the thug came out and asked in a shocking manner,

“May hell be upon us! When a priest had to take a filthy dog on his shoulder”.

Priest got furious and replied, “can you no see, its not a dog you edit, it’s a goat!”

The thug said, “I beg your pardon. I told you what I saw. I am sorry if you mind”, and went to his direction.

The priest was angry but kept walking.

On the second hideout, the second thug came running and screamed,

“OH! Young man, what are you doing? Why have you hold a wolf on your shoulder? It might break your neck”.

The priest replied, “Are you blind, it’s a goat and goats are harmless.”   Thug wiped his eyes and after a moment said, “I told you what I saw, the rest is up to you”.    Priest got confused but still continued the journey.

On the third hide spot, the eldest thug passed by and asked, “Sir, why are you carrying a donkey on your shoulders?  It makes you a laughing stock. You seem to be a wise person. Such an act is pure stupidity on your part”.

Priest cried out, “what is your problem? It’s a goat!”

Thug angrily replied, “Sir, you seem to be highly mistaken in this regard. Either you don’t know how a goat looks like or you are doing it knowingly”.

Hearing these words, Priest became really worried. He thought, ‘is this really not a goat. Is it a ghost or something? He started to realize that this is not a goat but a ghost as first it changed itself into a dog, then from a dog into wolf and then a wolf into donkey.

He got frightened up to such extent that to save his life, he threw the goat away and ran.

Thugs started to laugh and praised the eldest and were happy to feast on it.

You see in this world; we are exposed to these thugs everyday and they try to get into our heads.

Thugs may be your friends, relatives and sometimes your siblings. They may laugh at you how you speak, how you clothe yourself, how you walk but maybe they are just jealous.

So don’t be the priest. Save your energy and keep going. And don’t get fooled by the three thug who are too lazy to work for themselves.
