                         It is an irony that after 1990, a political scenario was created where each party, PPP and PMLN only tried to oust the other's influence in Pakistan and this resulted in the start of a game called Magical Chair where both opponent's ultimate aim was to only focus on the chair and try everything to stop your opponents having it resulting in a culture of polarized politics and rest is history.

Country became victim of short policy implementation where one regime took loans and as they started working on projects, they were overturned and the cycle of taking loans continued without any long-term progress. Here is when Pakistan was debt trapped.

 


Establishment got chance to take full control of nation and thus fourth dictatorial regime emerged.

Today, history is repeating itself. Even the opponents are same except one, PTI.

Good thing is almost all previous foes are now temporarily friends and their ultimate aim is to have full control of this magical chair of power and try to stop the opponent, PTI.

The bad thing is PTI which was supposed to work for the betterment of the nation as it previously promised by the slogan of Riasat-e-Madina is now part of this game and instead of working for the welfare of nation is only working for welfare of itself.

         


If people remained polarized like before and didn’t take out the rose-colored glasses which their political parties have made them to wear then it is not far when Pakistan will be the second country of 21st century after Sudan to bear the consequences.

Already we have seen what happened to Sri Lanka and to my utter surprise, Pakistan’s economy is going  that direction and people generally don’t care.

                Now we have only two options, either shake hands and work together or another Bangladesh is not far….
